The International Theatre


Born in 1994, The International Theatre is a Cultural Association aiming to bring International theatre to Italy. It has been producing a bilingual program for 10 years at the Teatro Agorà, in Rome, putting on stage over 40 shows by European Theater Companies (United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, South Africa). Over the years, TIT presented its over 15 productions in Festivals and theaters in France, Spain and Greece. TIT also cured the Artistic Direction and theater organization for a few venues, such as: Teatro Comunale, Formello-Rm (1995-2012), Auditorium James Joyce, Ariccia, RM (1997-2014), Teatro Cassia, Roma (from 2008 to 2011, TIT also cured its renovation works). More recently, TIT developed a few international performing arts projects that were funded by European Culture Programs. TIT is also bringing on an Artistic Residency Program in the Cultural Park of the Azienda Conte Ràcani, hosting and promoting foreign artists from Croatia, Canada, USA and France for creative residencies. The International Theatre è una Associazione Culturale nata nel 1994 con l’obiettivo di portare il teatro internazionale in Italia. Ha promosso una stagione bilingue per 10 anni presso il Teatro Agorà di Roma, presentando un totale di circa 40 spettacoli di compagnie europee (Regno Unito, Irlanda, Francia, Spagna, Sudafrica). Ha partecipato con le sue oltre 15 produzioni a Festival e stagioni teatrali in Francia, Spagna e Grecia. Negli anni TIT ha Gestito la Direzione Artistica e l’organizzazione delle stagioni di diversi teatri: Teatro Comunale di Formello-Rm (1995/2012), Auditorium James Joyce di Ariccia, RM (1997/2014), Teatro Cassia di Roma (2008/2011 – curandone inoltre la ristrutturazione). Recentemente  TIT si è dedicata molto alla progettualità e cooperazione europea, ottenendo finanziamenti su diversi progetti internazionali di arti performative. L’attività della Associazione si sta anche concentrando sullo sviluppo di Residenze Artistiche in Umbria presso il Parco Culturale della Azienda Conte Ràcani, che nel corso degli ultimi due anni ha ospitato e promosso artisti esteri provenienti dalla Croazia, Canada, Stati Uniti, Francia, invitati per una residenza creativa.
